Dr. Alex Mak, DC, CCSP, CSCS, QME

Founder, Olympus Sports Therapy

BIO

Dr. Alex Mak is a sports rehab chiropractor and performance specialist, and the founder of Olympus Sports Therapy in Los Alamitos, California.

His path into rehab started as a frustrated patient. As an athlete dealing with chronic knee pain, hamstring injuries, and low back issues, he experienced firsthand how much care focuses on symptoms while ignoring the cause. Treatments helped for a week, the problem returned, and no one could explain why. That experience shaped everything about how he practices today.

Dr. Mak’s approach blends orthopedic assessment, movement analysis, manual therapy, corrective exercise, and strength and conditioning principles into a single process. No quick fixes and no cookie-cutter protocols. His job is to help you understand your body, fix how it moves, and build the physical capacity to stay active for decades, not weeks.

He works with competitive athletes, active adults, weekend warriors, and youth athletes, with a particular focus on people who want more than temporary relief. If you want a plan, a process, and a real path back to performance, that is what Olympus was built for.
