I highly recommend Olympus Sports Therapy if you care about individual performance, regardless of your fitness level or experience. I initially came to Alex for help with hip mobility limitations that had led to injuries in my back and knee. Even after a recent lower back injury (strained disc), I was able to recover quickly with Alex’s guidance.I’ve worked with many strength coaches, physical therapists, and chiropractors, and Alex truly stands out. His expertise in mobility and strength is among the best I’ve encountered. What sets him apart is his commitment to research-supported approaches. He doesn’t offer generic advice; instead, he tailors strategies based on the latest evidence, addressing your specific needs with a precise problem/solution approach. Whether it’s improving mobility or targeting a strength deficit, Alex is relentless in finding effective solutions. I particularly appreciate his focus on improving range of motion and mobility through strength work around the end ranges of motion. While I had a vague understanding of this before, Alex’s emphasis on this approach led to immediate improvements in my flexibility and functional movement. In addition to being a knowledgeable trainer, Alex performs chiropractic adjustments and manual therapy, where I’ve seen immediate improvement. What I also value is that Alex isn’t trying to keep you coming back forever—he’s focused on long-term success, equipping you with the tools to be independent and proficient. There’s a lot to learn, and you need to be actively involved, but his guidance sets you up for lasting progress, making him a one-of-a-kind resource for anyone serious about optimizing their performance and well-being.

I had a shoulder injury last month from a car accident. Dr. Mak has been an instrumental part of my recovery. He gives a bit extra care than the chiropractors I’m used to. He gave a full hour break down of my injury and treatment to put me on the right path.

I would rate Olympus with more stars if it was possible. I started working with Dr. Alex, when he was an intern and have seen tremendous improvement with every session. He is the most intuitive chiropractic and movement therapy practitioner that I have found. Our sessions have included manipulation to calm muscle spasm and then movement therapy to retrain injury sites to normal function. My injury sites are double ACL repair. Patellar tendonitis related to ACL donor site. Wrist and shoulder injuries. Elbow tendonitis. Wrist tendonitis. Core deactivation. Etc. After 12 years of constant discomfort and pain, a roller coaster of injury, partial repair and reinjury, and many, many body work practitioners, I believe Olympus Sports Therapy will get me over the hump to normal function and then back to high-end competition.

From my first appointment/session with Dr. Alex, it was clear that he was a class above any other chiropractor or trainer that I had worked with. He took the time to REALLY listen to my issues, showed that he cared, got to the root of the problem (instead of just using the “band-aid” approach of pain management), and explained the “why” behind things in a way that I could easily understand and get behind. His treatments and interventions were the most effective of anyone I have worked with. He addresses both pain AND mobility issues. In essence, you don’t just feel better in the short-term. He helps fix your posture and your movement so that it doesn’t keep coming back. He wants to get you on your way
a rarity in the medical field, where they seem to keep you coming back and paying up indefinitely.Dr. Alex is kind, knows his stuff, and genuinely cares. It doesn’t get any better than him. Thanks Doc!!

been training with alex for a while now and could not recommend him enough! i came to him with lower back, and knee issues plus little to no experience working out. he curated a long term plan for me that has now tremendously made a change in the way i live because the work made me stronger. looking forward to keep up all this progress through his knowledge and expertise!
